About Us
No. Construction Support System Private Limited (Company No. 14502305) is an independent training and support services provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or part of CSCS, CITB, CPCS, NPORS or any government body.
No. We guide you through the CITB test and any NVQ or course requirements. Your CSCS card is issued directly by CSCS, and CPCS cards are issued by NOCN or the relevant awarding body, once your application is approved.
Our registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. We support learners across the UK.
CSCS Cards
It depends on your trade, experience and qualifications. Green suits labourers and general operatives; Blue requires an NVQ Level 2 in your trade; Gold and Black apply to supervisors and managers with higher-level NVQs. See our CSCS Card page for the full breakdown, or contact us directly.
Most CSCS cards need renewing every five years. Some provisional and trainee card types run on shorter cycles — we'll confirm which applies to your card.
Green Labourer cards typically only require the CITB test. Most higher card colours require a relevant NVQ alongside the test — we'll confirm exactly what applies to your target card.
The CITB Test
The CITB Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) test is an online, multiple-choice touch-screen exam checking your understanding of workplace health and safety. A pass is required for almost every CSCS card.
CITB test passes are typically valid for two years. If your card application takes longer than that, you may need to resit before applying.
You can book a resit. We can talk through the format and what the test covers so you know what to expect the next time.
NVQ & Courses
For most trades, no — construction NVQs are assessed from evidence of your real, on-site work: photographs, witness statements and assessor site visits.
SSSTS suits supervisors managing day-to-day site safety; SMSTS is the management-level course for those setting safety policy and standards across a project. See our Health & Safety Courses page.
